What you will need
- British nationality is required.
- Proven experience developing and delivering procurement strategies in complex operational, manufacturing or engineering environments.
- Strong experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management and complex commercial negotiations.
- Strong contract management capability, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements.
- Experience working across technical, programme, engineering or commercial teams in a complex or regulated environment.

Your role
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with programme and business requirements.
- Lead procurement activity from bid and proposal stages through to contract award and ongoing supplier support.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships, tendering activity and supplier selection.
- Lead commercial negotiations while balancing cost, quality, risk and delivery requirements.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain and commercial risks while improving supplier performance and resilience.
- Support strategic decisions through market analysis, commercial evaluation and make-or-buy assessments.
- Strategic procurement experience within defence, aerospace, engineering, manufacturing or another technically complex environment.
- Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills with experience managing contractual risk.
- Experience managing supplier performance, strategic sourcing and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of procurement governance, compliance and best practice.
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with enterprise resource planning systems and supplier intelligence information.
- A professional procurement qualification, such as Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply membership or equivalent, would be beneficial.
