Electus Recruitment Solutions is supporting an organisation operating at the forefront of the Defence sector in the search for a Systems Engineer to contribute to an ambitious next-generation combat air programme.
This is an opportunity for a systems thinker to work across System of Systems concepting, requirements, architecture and cross-functional analysis, helping shape complex capabilities from the earliest stages of development.

The Opportunity
You will work with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop and communicate system concepts and architectures, balancing operational needs, technical constraints and design considerations.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering System of Systems concepting activities
• Eliciting, analysing and decomposing requirements
• Supporting architectural development using Model Based Engineering tools
• Working with design teams to define system concepts, design principles and constraints
• Supporting cross-functional assessment and analysis activities
• Presenting technical concepts and influencing senior stakeholders

About You
We are looking for an analytical and collaborative Systems Engineer with:

• Experience developing and communicating system concepts and architectures
• A good understanding of requirements and how they drive system design
• The ability to engage and influence senior internal and external stakeholders
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
• The ability to develop and communicate a clear technical narrative
• A willingness to learn and contribute within an agile engineering environment

Experience within Defence, Aerospace or another complex engineering environment would be advantageous.

Key Details

• Salary: Up to £47,000 depending on experience
• Location: Stevenage
• Working pattern: 4 days per week on-site
• Security: British Citizen or Dual UK National with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. Successful applicants will need to obtain SC clearance after offer.
