Systems Engineer – Network Communications

Shape the design and delivery of advanced network communications systems used in complex defence programmes. This role offers the opportunity to develop specialist expertise, broaden your Systems Engineering capability and contribute to technology that supports critical defence operations.

Essential Requirements
• British Citizen or Dual UK National with British citizenship
• Eligible to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance
• Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Systems Engineering experience within a complex engineering environment
• Network Communications experience

What You Will Be Doing
• Deliver Systems Engineering and Network Communications expertise across complex defence programmes
• Support the development of network enabled, platform and battlefield communications solutions
• Work within multidisciplinary engineering teams to define, develop and integrate communication systems
• Engage with stakeholders and technical specialists to deliver successful project outcomes
• Contribute to the development of innovative communications capabilities and future technologies
• Build technical leadership skills through ownership of work packages and engineering activities

Skills and Background
• Experience applying Systems Engineering principles throughout the project lifecycle
• Knowledge of network communications technologies and architectures
• Understanding of communications technologies such as SATCOM, network modelling or virtualised network environments would be beneficial
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Experience managing technical interfaces, stakeholders or suppliers would be advantageous
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Location and Setup
Bristol
Hybrid working with approximately 2 to 3 days per week on site.
