Product Design Lead
Shape and lead the development of hardware and software designs while influencing key defence system outcomes. Take ownership of complex projects and expand your skills in a challenging technical environment.
What you will need
• British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship
• Ability to lead small teams to achieve planned outcomes
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and design baselines
Salary and rewards
Up to £57,000 per year
Your role
• Lead a small team delivering new equipment software designs
• Support development of hardware build standards
• Engage with wider project stakeholders within the system design process
• Manage change processes and oversee embodiment of new designs
Your profile
• Experience generating detailed functional design documentation from requirements
• Proficiency in DOORS, Rhapsody or similar engineering/configuration tools
• Strong technical problem-solving skills for investigating and resolving design issues
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience, preferably in a STEM field
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
• Passion for understanding challenging customer needs and producing product solutions
