Engineering Technician

Engineering Technician – New Product Introduction A permanent, full-time role based on site in Whitstable, Kent.
The Engineering Technician will support new product introduction activities by providing hands-on technical assistance between engineering and production. Key duties include assembling prototypes, performing electrical and environmental testing, recording build data, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining detailed documentation. Key responsibilities:

• Assembling prototypes and low-volume builds
• Perform electrical, hermeticity, pressure and environmental testing
• Record and report build data and nonconformances
• Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Support tooling setup and process improvements
• Coordinate with quality during inspections
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Required skills and experience:

• Mechanical aptitude with precision assembly tools
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing data
• Experience with soldering, wiring and measurement tools preferred
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Accurate documentation skills
• Competence with basic computer applications
• Experience in manufacturing or technical assembly environments preferred
• Engineering qualification advantageous but not essential
