Market Director (Defence)
Take ownership of strategic growth across the UK Defence market, shaping client engagement and leading high-impact initiatives. Drive operational excellence while influencing long-term strategic decisions.
What you will need
• British nationality, SC clearable but not currently required
• Extensive experience in Defence sector strategic leadership and business development
• Proven track record managing senior client relationships and delivering large-scale projects
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage risk effectively
Salary and rewards
Up to £200,000, plus £7,500 car allowance and 20% annual bonus
What you will be doing
• Develop and implement a five-year market strategy aligned with business goals
• Lead client engagement, identifying growth opportunities and promoting services across the Defence sector
• Oversee operational delivery, ensuring high-quality, on-time and on-budget project completion
• Foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture while contributing to talent development and succession planning
Your experience
• Strategic leadership in Defence or Secure Government environments
• Business development and financial management expertise
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in complex projects
• Innovative approach to service delivery and digital transformation
Where you will be based
Southern England, hybrid working pattern
