Component Manager – Obsolescence
We are supporting a leading defence organisation in recruiting a Component Manager specialising in obsolescence. This role offers the opportunity to lead obsolescence management across a range of equipment, providing guidance, support and best practice to stakeholders both internally and internationally. The successful candidate will influence robust processes and reporting across multiple programmes.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage proactive and reactive obsolescence of components
- Provide expert advice and guidance on best practice
- Maintain compliance processes and reporting standards
- Participate in design reviews, training, and development activities
- Support or lead international obsolescence initiatives
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in component obsolescence management
- Knowledge of BS 62402:2001 compliance standards
- Strong stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to produce clear and concise engineering documentation
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge / experience of tools such as Matrix PLM, SAP, Silicon Expert, IHS etc
- Previous involvement in international initiatives
