Field Services Engineer
Salary: Starting from £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Contract: Fixed term until 31 March 2027 with potential for extension
Location: Various locations around Dorset (including Weymouth, Portland and Lulworth) with nationwide travel and occasional overnight stays
The Opportunity
A technical and hands-on role supporting advanced training systems used across key military training establishments.
As a Field Services Engineer, you will provide in-service support for specialist training equipment located at multiple UK sites. You will assist users during exercises, maintain systems to required standards, and ensure safe and reliable operation.

The Opportunity

As a Field Services Engineer, you will provide in-service support for specialist training equipment located at multiple UK sites. You will assist users during exercises, maintain systems to required standards, and ensure safe and reliable operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver in-service technical support for precision gunnery and armoured vehicle training systems at designated UK sites
- Provide on-site user support and assist in training activities when required
- Conduct scheduled maintenance and attend call-outs across various UK locations
- Uphold a safe system of work and comply with all quality, environmental, and health and safety standards
Skills and Qualifications
- Formal qualification in electrical or electronic engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Background in electro-mechanical engineering with strong electronics bias
- Ex-military technical experience (such as RAC Gunner Mechanic or REME trades) desirable
- IOSH Working Safely
- Full UK driving licence
- Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication and reporting skills
