What you will need
- British nationality for security reasons
- Experience in electrical and mechanical systems design
- Eligibility for Security Check (SC) clearance
- Expert proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD tools

The work
- Develop integrated electrical and mechanical design concepts from first principles for complex maritime systems.
- Produce high-quality 2D and 3D drawings and STEP files for customer delivery using AutoCAD and specialized electrical CAD packages.
- Lead the design of electrical enclosures, control panels, and 19-inch racks while ensuring strict compliance with manufacturing techniques.
- Take responsibility for refining rough mechanical designs into precise, production-ready drawing outputs.
- Collaborate with internal departments and sub-contractors to coordinate technical responses and ensure positive project outcomes.
What you bring
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety regulations including BS7671 18th edition and the Electricity at Work Act.
- Practical experience with technical standards for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and the Low Voltage Directive (LVD).
- Familiarity with BS8888 2017 and ISO drawing standards.
- Ability to solve complex engineering problems and meet tight deadlines within a changing project environment.
- Competency in producing Visio drawings to support broader company technical documentation needs.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and manage cross-boundary internal relationships.
