Fire Assessor Senior Consultant

Overview A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Fire Assessor to support the safety of critical infrastructure projects. This role involves delivering fire strategies, risk assessments and design-stage consultancy across high-risk environments including defence, energy and hazardous facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop fire safety strategies, technical reports and compliance documentation
• Lead or contribute to design reviews and propose effective fire safety solutions
• Conduct fire engineering analysis, including smoke and evacuation modelling
• Collaborate with architects, clients and regulatory bodies to align fire safety measures
• Use advanced modelling software to perform fire dynamics assessments

Essential Skills and Experience

• Degree in Fire Safety Engineering or related discipline
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience in fire risk assessment and strategy development
• Familiarity with evacuation modelling and fire dynamics tools

Desirable

• Prior consultancy experience
• Knowledge of DSEAR regulations
• Experience mentoring junior assessors or leading technical reviews
