Radio Frequency Engineer
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Radio Frequency Engineer to join a leading defence organisation in Stevenage. You will join a collaborative and driven team responsible for conducting the most complete tests of missiles outside of a live firing. This involves designing complex, real-time simulations to test real missile hardware in a safe environment.
The Role
As a Radio Frequency Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining new and existing RF equipment. The role involves working with multidisciplinary teams to combine RF, electronics engineering and software development. A key part of the role will be developing new capabilities that enable the team to run new and more advanced simulations. You will be comfortable adapting to new engineering situations and will need to abstract detail to understand the behaviour of the simulation and the missile.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking ambitious engineers with a growth mindset. You will have a background in RF design and testing and be proficient in system performance analysis and interface debugging. Experience with real-time applications and familiarity with Linux and C++ is essential. Knowledge of integrating microcontrollers into RF hardware is also required.
The Essentials
A salary of up to £55,000 is on offer for this permanent position based in Stevenage. The role operates on a hybrid working pattern with 4-5 days on-site per week.
Due to the nature of work at our client’s site, these vacancies are only open to British Citizens who hold SC clearance or can obtain it.
This is a permanent role.
