PSR - Draughtsperson
Job Title: Draughtsperson
Location: Dounreay, Thurso
Contract: Contract, 12 months
Salary: Competitive
Working: Onsite, full time
£75 Travel & Subsistence can be claimed per day by any candidate travelling outside commuting distance.

An established organisation operating within the nuclear sector requires support for their design office. The role offers the opportunity to work on electrical, control and instrumentation projects, contributing to critical engineering design activities. This position provides a platform for career progression within design engineering.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce design drawings compliant with relevant standards and regulations
- Support engineers by delivering accurate drawings and documentation
- Assist in resolving technical queries alongside senior draughtspersons
- Contribute to design problem-solving and specification generation
- Undertake management responsibilities relevant to the role
Experience
- Trade background in electrical or control and instrumentation disciplines
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT (recent versions)
- Knowledge of design and drawing processes and standards
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings effectively
- Experience within an engineering environment with project awareness
- Understanding of safety requirements in engineering contexts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- HNC in engineering or equivalent qualification
- Relevant experience in draughting or design support
- Membership of a relevant professional body is advantageous
