Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review safety-critical systems architectures
- Support design decision-making using systems engineering principles
- Deliver systems assurance and certification artefacts
- Ensure compliance with relevant defence and civil standards
- Collaborate with MOD, OEMs, Design Organisations, and supply chain stakeholders
- Lead and manage projects, providing both technical direction and client consultancy
- Proven experience with software or complex electronic hardware (CEH) in safety-related systems
- Familiarity with standards like ARP4754A, IEC 61508, DO-178C, DO-254, Def Stan 00-055/56
- Experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo or Sparx EA
- Systems modelling knowledge (e.g. UML/SysML)
- Hands-on experience of system and safety lifecycles
- Knowledge of MOD acquisition frameworks and certification strategies
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Project management and technical leadership experience
- Degree in a relevant engineering or science field
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards it
- Familiarity with KiD and UK Defence protocols
