As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in the entire systems development lifecycle. You'll be involved in planning and executing system design and development, system and sub-system implementation, integration and testing, and gaining customer acceptance. Your work will span sensor and communications networked systems, sensor processing, and soldier-worn combat systems, with opportunities to evolve into other domains and product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Innovative Design: Undertake design activities at the equipment, system, and software levels.
• Systems Design Athority on key projects
• End-to-End Development: Meet technical requirements through all phases of design, integration, and leading to customer acceptance.
• Technical Documentation: Develop and review technical documentation, including test plans, specifications, and procedures.
• Rigorous Testing: Conduct testing and qualification activities throughout the project.
• Risk Management: Identify project technical risks and opportunities.
• Collaborative Reviews: Participate in project design reviews with customers.
• Acceptance Events: Support acceptance events at factory and external sites.
• Product Reliability: Ensure the safety, reliability, and through-life support of products.
• Business Development: Assist in business development by preparing technical proposals and solutions.
• Strong Relationships: Foster strong working relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Continuous Improvement: Support research and development to improve engineering quality, efficiency, and cost.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven Expertise: Track record in delivering complex system design, implementation, test, and integration in the Defence or similar highly regulated domain.
• Lifecycle Experience: Experience with the full system lifecycle, including design, development, testing, integration, and acceptance.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and specify system acceptance requirements.
• Technical Knowledge: Appreciation of network technologies and complex electronics and firmware design principles.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for regular interactions with stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
• Desirable Skills: Experience with Model Based System Engineering, Windows and Linux Operating Systems, modern software design techniques and languages (e.g., C++, Java, C#), signal processing knowledge, membership in a Professional Engineering or Science Institute, and agile or spiral development lifecycles.
• Educational Background: At least a BSc Degree in Engineering, Maths, or Science subject or equivalent experience.
• Security Clearance: Sole UK National with the ability to attain DV or SC UK Security Clearance.
