About the Role:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in reverse engineering key products to support local production. Using SolidWorks 3D CAD to BS8888 standards, you’ll work across various departments to re-engineer sheet metal products and injected moulded assemblies. This position involves evaluating production tooling, improving manufacturing methods, and ensuring safe and efficient production.

About the Role:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in reverse engineering key products to support local production. Key Responsibilities:
- Reverse-engineer existing metal and plastic products for local production.
- Produce technical drawings to aid procurement in obtaining target costs.
- Collaborate with design and operations teams to identify technical upgrades and production improvements.
- Specify materials and tooling as needed.
- Conduct ongoing reviews of mechanical designs.
- Develop documentation to support designs and projects.
- Evaluate production methods, identifying improvements in material use, efficiency, cost, and safety.
- Maintain day-to-day awareness of health and safety standards, reporting any issues in the workplace.
