Senior Software Engineer

For this role you will be working as a Senior Software Engineer, offering a chance to work on high-impact projects in the defense sector. Here are the key details:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Application Design & Development: You will be involved in designing and developing robust, scalable applications using modern technologies, ensuring they meet industry best practices.
2. Full Software Development Lifecycle: Participate in all stages of software development, from gathering requirements, design, implementation, testing, to deployment.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, UX, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and product quality.
4. Mentoring: Provide guidance to junior developers and help nurture team growth.

Skills and Experience Required:

1. Frontend or Backend Expertise:
   • Frontend: Strong experience with JavaScript, particularly in the React ecosystem. Proficiency in HTML and CSS.
   • Backend: Experience with Java and relevant backend technologies.
2. DevOps & Cloud Technologies: Knowledge of CI/CD, containerization, and deployment technologies such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS.
3. Agile Experience: Excellent communication skills and experience working in an agile environment.
4. Problem Solving & Collaboration: Strong skills in collaboration, problem solving, and working cross-functionally.

Security Clearance:

• UK Citizenship Required: Due to the nature of the role, you must be a British citizen and hold the highest level of UK Government security clearance. If you don’t already have it, the recruitment team can guide you through the process.

Salary:

• Manchester: £41,800 - £62,600
• London: £45,900 - £68,900

Travel:

• 10% of the time.
