About the Role:
As the Project Controls Manager, you will have overall accountability for delivering project control systems to meet site objectives across a designated project portfolio. You will coordinate, develop, and implement project control systems, tools, and procedures to ensure service providers meet requirements and drive performance. Your role will be pivotal in providing timely and relevant information to assist the Projects Team in making accurate and impactful decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the Project Controls disciplines, including Cost Estimating, Cost Engineering, Project Planning, and Scheduling.
- Ensure functional assurance for all assigned project estimates, schedules, and cost deliverables.
- Develop and support management processes and oversee portfolio reporting requirements.
- Monitor and report cash flow performance against assigned capital projects and the capital plan.
- Provide analysis and assurance of all data submitted to the Project Services Lead Team.
- Ensure compliance with project controls policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with staff and team members to produce monthly cost reports and accurate project schedules.
- Define and monitor appropriate KPIs and reports to provide assurance in all areas of accountability.
- Manage resources to ensure efficient delivery of work within agreed timescales.
- Develop recovery plans for scope of work when required to address adverse performance metrics.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven leadership skills with experience in developing and managing teams.
- Extensive project controls experience, including cost estimating, project scheduling, and cost engineering.
- Strong understanding of contracts.
- In-depth experience in the renewables, power generation or power transmittion / distribution industries.
- Strong academic and/or professional credentials.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
