My client, a world leader in the defence sector, requires a Low Observability Test and Analysis Engineer to join their team in Bristol, developing and proving stealth capabilities for the latest weapon systems.
Low Observability Test and Analysis Engineer
Our client’s Low Observability team supports programmes throughout their product lifecycles, establishing, progressing and delivering against the risk reduction and qualification strategies to bring their products into service. They work closely with related LO teams who undertake Radio Frequency (RF) signature and Infra-red (IR) signature assessments to ensure coherency.
The Low Observability Test and Analysis Engineer supports/undertakes all aspects radar cross-section (RCS) trials and analysis to support product development and qualification, from capturing measurement specifications and producing test instructions, participating in fit-for-trial reviews, to undertaking laboratory radar signature measurements and associated results analysis and performance reporting.
To be considered for this role, applicants will need to be qualified at Higher Education level in a subject such as Physics, Electromagnetics, Electrical or similar, ideally with previous experience of test engineering, instrumentation, measurement, analysis and reporting.
You will have practical hands-on experience, with the ability to setup hardware in a test environment, utilising your analytical mind-set, problem solving abilities and good communication skills.
The ability to write and maintain codes within MATLAB and/or Python would be ideal.

Salary to circa £45k DOE plus benefits (bonus, pension, paid overtime, flexi leave, excellent site facilities)
Hybrid working (project dependent, typically 3 to 4 days per week on-site)
