They have expanded rapidly over the last few years and provide specialist safety and environmental consultancy across various sectors, including defence, aerospace, rail, and marine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed hazard and risk analysis using techniques like SWIFT, HAZOP, FMECA, FTA, and LOPA.
- Apply relevant regulations and standards including DSA02-DMR and Def Stan 00-056.
- Manage and deliver complex technical projects.
- Contribute to successful bid proposals.
- Support business development activities.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a maritime safety consultancy environment.
- Experience in UK defence, ideally maritime (other areas considered).
- Proven track record in project management and technical delivery.
- Excellent communication and written English skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- UK security clearance is mandatory.
Highly Desirable (Not Essential):
- Experience as an Independent Safety Auditor/Advisor.
- Knowledge of Def Stan 00-055, Mil Std 882E, and IEC 61508 standards.
- Track record in client relationship development and securing workstreams.
- Staff management experience.
- Degree qualification and/or relevant professional membership (e.g., Chartered Engineer).
