About the Company
Our client is a leading technical consultancy delivering world-class services in Support Engineering., They are looking for a Safety Consultant to join their team. 

Key Skills
The ideal candidate will have a strong Safety Engineering background in electronic countermeasures, communications, or electronics, with a focus on defence applications.
Key Responsibilities:
•    Conduct safety assessments and risk analyses for new products and processes
•    Develop and implement functional safety programs, policies, and procedures
•    Investigate and report on safety incidents and accidents
•    Provide safety training and education to employees
•    Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure functional safety compliance
•    Stay updated on relevant safety regulations and standards, including IEC 61508
•    Perform hazard identification and risk assessment
•    Develop safety lifecycle plans and safety cases
•    Conduct safety verification and validation activities
•    Manage safety-related documentation and records
•    Participate in safety reviews and audits

Qualifications and Experience:
•    Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
•    Strong understanding of electronic countermeasures, communications, or electronics principles
•    Experience working in the defence industry
•    Knowledge of safety standards and regulations
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Travel Requirements:
Regular travel to East Anglia will be required.

Ideal Candidate Background:
•    Experience in land systems within defence
•    Exposure to EW, ECM, or communications systems
