Contract FPGA Verification Engineer
A FPGA Verification Engineer is required for a leading global Aerospace company. You will use your experience of VHDL and verification to author and review of test procedures, ensuring demonstrable links between requirements, tests and test results. Experience with VHDL, DO-254, simulations, physical testing, traceability, DOORS.

Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens. A FPGA Verification Engineer is required for a leading global Aerospace company. You will use your experience of VHDL and verification to author and review of test procedures, ensuring demonstrable links between requirements, tests and test results. Experience with VHDL, DO-254, simulations, physical testing, traceability, DOORS.
The job will include:
- Leading and/or supporting specific verification activities, depending on experience. Deliver work packages as assigned by project
- FPGA verification activities as per DO-254, including Problem Reports and documentation.
- Physical (lab-based) test authoring and reviewing.
- Assessing elemental analysis and code coverage.
- Scripting to aid test development, test result analysis or management of traceability data.
- Owning and carrying out various aspects of verification activities as requested by the technical leads.
- VHDL code reviews.
Experience:
- Very strong VHDL knowledge, particularly for verification (including testbenches and score boarding).
- Strong background in FPGA design.
- Experience of DO-254 verification activities.
- Knowledge of a range of scripting languages, e.g. Python, tcl.
- Questa/Modelsim experience.
- Keen attention to detail balanced with a pragmatic approach.
- Knowledge of standard aviation communication protocols, such as ARINC429, would be a bonus.
- Lab skills, including debugging/problem solving.
- Location of work: Cheltenham
- Rate £75
- Contractors required x1
- Duration: 6 Months
