Lead Defence Programmes and Deliver Your Expertise

Are you a Programme Manager with a passion for leading complex projects from concept to successful delivery? A leading defence client is looking for a talented individual to join their team and take ownership of critical programmes.

In this pivotal role, you'll leverage your in-depth programme management expertise to drive success across the entire programme lifecycle. This means meticulous planning, resource allocation, and flawless execution – ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to exacting specifications.

Your Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management and leadership of engineering and defence programmes.
• Leverage your in-depth understanding of programme management methodologies to deliver complex projects.
• Drive programme success through meticulous planning, resource allocation, and execution.
• Develop comprehensive plans, specifications, and designs, ensuring all functional requirements are documented.
• Manage programme budgets and proactively monitor costs against project plans.
• Identify and mitigate programme risks, keeping stakeholders informed.
• Set clear goals for your team and ensure successful delivery of objectives and tasks.
• Foster strong relationships with team members, vendors, and partners.
• Compile progress reports, deliver presentations, and effectively communicate project updates to stakeholders.
• Utilise project management tools like MS Project to optimise resource planning.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in Programme Management and delivery of complex defence programmes.
• A proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to specification.
• A BSc/BEng or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a similar discipline (minimum 2:1).
• An Association of Project Management Qualification (APM) or similar project management certification.
• The ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously.

Security Clearance:

This role requires a sole UK passport holder (not dual nationality) who can obtain SC security clearance.
