They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Safety Engineer to join the Air Traffic Management team on a 12-month contract basis. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of ATM systems.

Job Description
They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Safety Engineer to join the Air Traffic Management team on a 12-month contract basis. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of ATM systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce / review Initial Safety Support Assessments (ISSAs) for changes to the functional system (e.g. new digital products or changes to existing digital products)
- Develop and maintain safety cases, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate safety hazards.
- Provide expert guidance on safety matters to project teams and stakeholders.
- Conduct internal audits against the applicable parts of Eurocae ED-153
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in safety engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in safety engineering, preferably in ATM and Software
- Strong understanding of safety principles, risk assessment techniques (e.g., FTA, HAZOP), and safety case development.
- Knowledge of Air Traffic Management systems and procedures.
- Experience with safety standards such as EUROCAE ED-153 and Regulation (EU) 2017/373.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to Brussels, Belgium, as and when required.
