Our client is a global multi-disciplinary consultancy business, supporting clients across a range of sectors, including the UK energy sector. They are seeking a Chief Engineer to help them support the UK’s drive towards its Net Zero Carbon target, supporting organisations in power generation, transmission & distribution.
Chief Engineer (Transmission & Distribution)
The Chief Engineer will be working in our client’s Net Zero business in a senior position within the HV electrical engineering team. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance and oversight to the engineering teams.
The role is likely to include:
To be considered for this role, applicants will need to be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering degree and are likely to be (or working towards being) a Chartered Engineer.
You will have extensive experience in HV electrical engineering and will thrive on technical excellence and complex projects, providing leadership and guidance to engineering teams. You will have experience of delivering multiple projects in parallel, working closely with clients and internal teams to capture requirements, set up projects and deliver right-first-time solutions for the most challenging problems in the transmission and distribution industry.
You may also have BP141 / TP141 Design Assurance qualification or equivalent.

- Review and approval of bid proposals.
- Leading technical delivery of projects.
- Managing client relationships.
- Travel to client sites or our other offices.
